I don’t like this quote, I love it.
It’s not so much about the stars exploding because I don’t know if that is true or not, it’s the reference about work tomorrow.
I retired from work on health grounds a number of years ago and guess what? The world continued to spin, commerce continued, businesses expanded or failed and all this happened without me and without any input from me.
As I mentioned earlier I retired on health grounds; I just couldn’t hack it anymore. It wasn’t the end of the world but it was the beginning of a new life for me. We had less money coming in but we had a better quality of life. My wife retired earlier this year and the world continued. We had reduced our income again but guess what? The quality of our lives improved again.
The cemetery is full of people who thought they were indispensible; they weren’t. Take time to smell the roses and appreciate life’s beauties. We come into this world with nothing and we leave it with nothing; enjoy the journey through life because it’s a one-way system.
