Writing 101 #6

I don’t write at any specific time although I understand that this is really the way professional writers approach their work and let’s be honest it is their work whereas my writing is a hobby. In any event I don’t have the discipline, if I wanted strict discipline I would have joined the army.

I always write on my desktop computer as it is much more environmentally friendly. Save a tree; I don’t print any of my posts and it also saves ink. My wife would kill me if I started ‘clacking’ on a typewriter, if I had one.

My physical space is small, set neatly inside a bay window looking out on our small cluster of 32 houses. Some days inspiration comes easily other not. I remember writing a post one day in 90 minutes and the publishers said that it had over 2,000 views. This was not on my own site but on Living Like You. I wish they were All like that.

  1. Writing is bloody hard work! 😦

  2. It would be interesting for blog readers to see where you write – would someone take a picture of you…maybe even through the window? I might do the same, as it’s where I spend a lot of my time.

I will try and organise it next week. I’ll have to pick a day when I’m looking my best LOL
