The Farm, Grenagh, Co Cork

Elaine & I visited The Farm, Grenagh, Co Cork last month. Check their website here. Sorry that I have no pictures, technical problems. There are a number of designated disabled parking spaces adjacent to the main entrance which is level and spacious. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet a short distance from the front door which is very roomy and well kitted out. The entrance to the farm is accessed through a lovely restaurant which also has ample circulation space. We both had lunch there and couldn’t fault it on price or quality.

There is a great children’s play area just outside the restaurant. Some of the areas of the farm are disability friendly whilst some couldn’t possibly be. Unaccompanied accessibility only becomes an issue in the areas beyond the duck pond and that is due mainly to the natural terrain and will be virtually impossible to rectify. The farm is a real insight to rural Ireland over the last 30 or 40 years and it really is a great attraction for a family day out.

My Disability Accessibility Rating is 5 stars out of 5
