Cork Mini-Marathon – completed

The race has been run or in my case wheeled. I tried posting this from Spain last week and it didn’t publish. Sorry! Elaine and I finished in a respectable 15/16 position from a field of 48. This achievement came about as a result of Elaine’s pushing with a minimal input from me. Jean also finished the race a bit further behind but considering her gammy knee it was also a massive achievement. It was remarkable that we all finished considering the lack of training. The next installment of Sunday September 15th will appear later.

Centre Park Road and the Marina are not really wheelchair friendly and the hill at Maryville should not be attempted unaccompanied!

Thanks to every body who contributed either financially of with good wishes.Image
