Garryvoe Hotel Revisited

We visited the hotel towards the end of February and commented on the lack of designated parking for disabled drivers and passengers. I was duly informed that an area of the car park had been assigned and that it would be acted upon.

We (Mairead, Elaine & Henry, Jo, Jean & Declan) went for lunch today to finish Mairead’s celebrations. The food and service was excellent as usual. The weather was also brilliant which was kinda unusual.

Picture this – we get to the car park. Jean down to 1 crutch now but still not 100%, Jo walking with a stick in one hand and Mairead supporting her other side and then Declan gets his wheelchair out. There is still no designated and appropriately marked parking spaces more than three months after my initial post and assurances. I mentioned it at reception again and was assured that management would be informed of my comment. There really is ample space to allocate many designated parking spots and it doesn’t take a lot of time or paint to make the spaces noticeable. I sincerely hope that when I revisit the hotel something will have changed
