On a whim Jean and I revisited Fitzgerald’s Park at lunch time today. We were killing a bit of time and as the weather was brilliant again Jean thought this would be nice. We each had an ice cream at the Riverview Cafe in the park, sitting down outside in the sun and watching the River Lee flow by. There is a small step into the restaurant that might make it a bit difficult for an unaccompanied wheelchair user but it can be accessed from inside the museum, when open. http://www.riverviewcafe.ie/
The park (http://www.corkcity.ie/services/architects/museumfitzgeraldspark/) is still totally accessible etc. but it was a pity that the museum was shut for lunch.
