Trip to Dublin

So this is again another post that has been delayed due to technical difficulties!

On Easter Monday myself and Henry headed off to Dublin.  As usual we took the extra few mins in bed after our hectic day at the races rather than get up for breakfast, So we stopped at the Topaz services just off the motorway in Cashel.  There was plenty of parking with wheelchair spaces available, inside there was plenty of space to move around, and plenty of choice food and beverage wise.  There was a lift to the 1st floor which had plenty of tables and the toilets.  The shop also provided a drive through service so that you didnt have to get out of the car unnessisarily.  There was also a Mcdonalds onsite, we didn’t go in there but there was a drive thru service also available there.
Our next stop was Dundrum Shopping center for a bit of retail therapy.  The center itself is very large with plenty of room along the mall for wheelchairs.  Wheelchairs and mobility aids are also available from the Shop mobilty (check here for more info http://www.dundrum.ie/your-visit/services/) There are plenty of places to eat and drink that have plenty of room for wheelchair users.  Wheelchair toilets are available and there are lifts, escalators and travelaters available to all levels.  Now if only the shopping had been as sucessful as the fact finding mission :)We stayed in the Burlington Hotel & when we checked in we were delighted to be upgraded! The hotel was lovely & spacious! Couldn’t fault our room, & there are disability friendly rooms available on request! Lifts are available to all floors!
Next up was our reason for being in Dublin, a trip to the O2! It was my first time there since it was done up! It is now a fine venue & very accessible with lifts & wheelchair accessible toilets! The position I saw for some of the wheelchairs appeared to have a good vantage point for concert goers!
