Another reason for this blog

My lovely wife Jean has been having trouble with her left knee over the last few years and her doctor has finally said that her options have been reduced to 2 – either have her knee replaced or continue suffering. Not much of a choice really – a no brainer. She is booked in to have her knee replaced on April 10th.

Her mobility is reduced at the moment and will reduce further as the date of the operation approaches and even more immediately thereafter. They say things always get worse before they get better and in this case they are right. Things will then improve and she will be back to full mobility within a few months.

I will continue to blog but without my trusty companion to assist and direct me, my horizons may be somewhat limited.

I will now be looking more carefully at accessibility for people with impaired mobility and accessibility for unaccompanied wheelchair users.
