Just back after being treated to lunch in the Garryvoe Hotel in Garryvoe in east Cork. The hotel is totally accessible with a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor but whilst there is a sizeable car park there are no designated spaces for disabled drivers or passengers. I understand that a location near the entrance has been identified but not yet marked appropriately. I didn’t go out onto the beach as sand and wheelchairs do not mix well and in any event it is very early in the year to consider sunbathing, paddling or swimming in the sea. There is 1 designated parking space in the public car park adjacent to the beach.
